A historic Redondo Beach gem!

We are located two blocks from the ocean. We even have a peekaboo view of the Pacific! Our beautiful building is over a century old and has earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1922 in the Arts-and-Crafts style, our Clubhouse is made of beautiful original redwood and has tall beamed ceilings, oak hardwood floors, a stage, and a lighted outdoor patio.

The Clubhouse is available to host weddings, quinceañeras, film shoots, celebrations of life, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, professional events, holiday parties, workshops and educational meetings. We can host up to 130 people seated banquet style with room for a dance floor!

Security Deposit

$500 for weekend events, $100 additional deposit if renting smart TV

Additional Notes

Renters must obtain special event insurance naming the Woman’s Club of Redondo Beach as an Additional Insured.

Proceeds from Clubhouse rentals cover the operating expenses of the club and our net proceeds go toward causes we support such as Scholarships and helping the needy in our community. Our club is an IRC Section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find parking near the Clubhouse?

Street parking is available in the surrounding area, though limited. We highly suggest you inform your guests to carpool or Uber/Lyft. Valet service can be arranged.

How many people can the space hold?

130 guests maximum for catered/seated banquets, with a total capacity of 180 in the building.

What if I only need part of the space?

Base rental fee includes most interior spaces. Separate rental fees apply for renting our kitchen and/or the patio.

Is there a setup and/or tear-down fee?

Table and chair setup and teardown are generally included in the rental fee.

Are tables and chairs included?

Twelve (12) 60" round tables, four (4) 8' rectangular tables and 100 white padded folding chairs are included in the base rental fee.

Additional round and rectangle tables are available for rent, as are: Cocktail Tables, Cake Table on wheels, half-round Sweetheart Table, padded Chiavari chairs, Padded Armchairs, Toddler chairs and tables, and rectangular rustic wood tables.

Are linens included?

Linens are not included but may be rented for an additional fee.

May we bring in food or have it catered?

Absolutely! The kitchen rentel fee gives you access to a large kitchen with extensive counter space, freezer, and refrigerator. Cooking is allowed if an additional cleaning fee has been paid.

May we bring our own alcohol?

Yes, as long as you do not charge for alcohol. There is a separate fee if alcohol will be served, and a bartender is required, at your expense, for other than beer, wine and Champaign.

May we use our own vendors? Do you have vendor recommendations?

Yes, you can use your own vendors. However, if they cannot work within the 2-hour setup window, additional fees may apply. Cre8tiveLA Weddings and Events is our preferred vendor for all your needs. Visit Cre8tiveLA.com or call Ricardo Velasquez at (310) 489-8835 for more information.

How long would we have use of the event space?

Rentals include nine (9) continuous hours. Typically, two (2) hours for Setup from 2pm to 4pm, six (6) hours for the event from 4pm to 10pm. Cleanup takes place no later than from 10pm to 11pm; this policy is in consideration of our neighbors. Advance arrangements may be made for an earlier start within a nine-hour window, or for the purchase of additional time.

May I set up the day before?

Setup generally takes place from 2pm to 4pm on event day. If you are renting the space for an event on a Saturday, you are able to rent the space on Friday for half of the base rental fee, provided that date is not already booked at the time you request to rent it.

If we have questions once there, who do we call?

Cre8iveLA event staff is onsite from 2pm to 11pm, which is included in your base rental fee.

What other services are in the area?

There is a gorgeous beach two blocks west and a beautiful park one block west. If you are in need of sleeping accommodations here are a few:

The Portofino Hotel is a four-star boutique hotel decorated in an elegant beach style. It is located in the marina, with views of either the ocean or the marina boats. They have a very good hotel restaurant & bar called Baleen Kitchen. It is a short drive away. (1.2 miles, 4 minute drive)
The Shade Redondo Beach is a four-star modern-style boutique hotel a short drive away with the popular Sea Level restaurant and a small rooftop pool with majestic view. Many of their rooms have a bathtub on the balcony. (1.1 miles, 4 minute drive)
The Sonesta Redondo Beach (formerly the Crowne Plaza Hotel) is a three-and-a-half-star hotel especially popular for business travel. (1.1 miles, 4 minute drive)
The Ramada Limited Redondo Beach is a two-star hotel - an affordable option that is walking distance and the closest hotel to the Clubhouse. (0.2 miles, 1 minute drive, 3 minute walk)
