Thank you to our sponsors including BLOCK PARTY: THE MOVIE
In light of the tragedy that occurred last weekend, the Woman’s Club of Redondo Beach has decided to donate all proceeds from our upcoming “Swinging into Resilience” event on Sunday, January 29 to the “Monterey Park Lunar New Year Victims Fund.” We hope you’ll join us in support of your community, whether that be the Asian American community, the dancing community, or our worldwide community of empathetic humans. Are you sure the fund you are donating to is not a scam? We are certain that the fund we have chosen to benefit victims is not fraudulent. It is backed by legitimate organizations, some we personally know, such as the Asian Americans Advancing Social Justice League and Gold House. We are aware that unfortunately, in the aftermath of tragedies, fraudulent funds are set up which takes away needed resources from the victims, but rest assured that we have taken all steps to choose a verified, genuine fund. 2. What is the parking situation? There is street parking along Pearl and Broadway. We do not have a designated lot and encourage carpooling or rideshare. Drivers may want to drop off passengers in dancing shoes at our front entrance (which is handicap accessible).
